This is somewhat embarrassing!! My poor little China was in desperate need of a bath and haircut. I like to grow her hair a bit longer and put ponytails in her hair but when she yanks them out and runs around she looks like this… (wonder how she sees??)
Oh the torture of a bath and hair cut. I think she pretty much hates my guts here ha ha! How cute, she’s checking herself out in the mirror… not sure she likes what she sees “MOMMY, WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!?”
Finally, the reward… the baby kong filled with treats! She’s happy again!
It’s funny, she still looks dirty! My little rat! Soooo cute – love love love!

I have a super busy weekend ahead filled with lots of shooting! Hope to blog again before the weekend is done! Have an awesome weekend everyone!- J
I went to North Bay this weekend for my nephew King’s 3rd birthday. Sunny did such a great job on his dump truck cake! nom nom! Happy Birthday King!

King and Daddy playing with his new guitar Scott and I got him for his birthday. If he starts playing now he’ll be a ROCKSTAR soon enough! ;o) (wishful thinking maybe…) LOVE THIS KID!
I’m going to try to blog about the Osteoporosis Bone Appetit Chef Challenge Charity Event tomorrow so stay tuned!! Hope everyone had an amazing weekend… J
When my brother was visiting a few weeks ago, my nephew King (who’s turning 3 this weekend), gravitated towards the musical instruments in our house. He really liked strumming the guitar but it was way too big for him. So, for his birthday, Scott and I bought him his own guitar! It’s half sized and super cute. I can’t wait to give it to him on Saturday!

On a completely unrelated note, I’m in Niagara Falls tomorrow giving a presentation, then rushing back to Toronto as I will be donating my photography services at the Osteoporosis Bone Appetite Chef Challenge Charity Event (phew that was a mouthful!) which is taking place at the Old Mill Inn and Spa. I’m VERY happy to be giving back to such a great cause! I will try to blog about it next week!
Have a wicked weekend everyone! – J
My brother came to visit 2 weeks ago with his family and they went to Chudleigh’s Apple Farm (which is only 5 minutes from my house) and brought us home a bag of apples…my life has been forever changed (by the apples not by the visit, ha ha)! I have decided that Chudleigh’s Honey Crisp apples are the most deRicious apples in the world (ok, maybe a slight embellishment). If you live anywhere close to Milton/Halton Hills the drive to the farm for these apples is definitely worth it! (I swear I’m not getting paid to write this!)
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! – J
What an awesome day!! I had an engagement session at Sam Lawrence’s Park in Hamilton this afternoon. Huge thank you to Wayne from Marble Weddings (amazing wedding planner!)… he was a huge help holding my reflector, getting us coffee and just being Wayne (I think he brought the nice weather too)! I will try to blog about that session sometime this week… in the meantime – just posting some random fun I had in my studio this past week testing out my new backdrop.

Hope everyone enjoyed the fabulous weather this weekend! – J
I haven’t blogged in a while – I have been busy… and I’m getting ready for Julie and Anthony’s wedding tomorrow (super excited btw!). Just a quick blog post to feel alive in the blog world.
Scott brought me home a Beauty Blender yesterday! (yay for random pressies) Who knew a little pink makeup sponge could bring so much happiness?!? lol!!! Apparently, this little makeup sponge is ALL the rage right now! If you are wondering where to pick up this little treasure, check out the eBeauty website!

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!
China found a new friend yesterday at Jayden’s birthday party. Finally a furry animal that can give her a run for her money. Teddy.

Happy Father’s Day Dad!!!
When my first nephew was born (King), I actually had the time to knit him a blanket. So when my second nephew was born (Knyt), I felt like I was cheating him by not knitting him a blanket also, but I just didn’t (don’t) have the time anymore! I honestly did not feel that anything would compare to the heartfelt feeling of a home knit blankie from “aunt jenny” until I saw this soft and cuddly tag blankie at my seamstress’. I did mention soft right? I can’t wait to give it to him… (3 weeks and 4 days old today!)!
Happy Thursday!! (joy joy)
I knew China was up to something! My normally organized book shelf has been suspiciously disorganized for months now but I honestly haven’t been able to figure it out. Caught red-pawed!!! Little rascal has been reading my books while I was at work. Gotta love her ambition for a good ‘bitchfest’! Doesn’t get any cuter then this…
Happy Tuesday!!
My very talented photographer friend Luca asked me to help him out with a maternity shoot he was doing at Adam’s studio (yay Adam for having such a wicked space!!!). We had about 45 minutes of time to kill before his clients got to the studio and I took full advantage (of the space and Luca’s knowledge).
I was anxious to try to apply some of what I learned at the Flashbus tour, more specifically, there was this portrait lighting set up that Dave Hobby showed us that I thought would be perfect to try out on Luca (who has now become my guinea pig – Muhahahahaha!).
The lighting on the next two images weren’t quite right (I was still setting up my lights) but I thought Luca’s expressions were too good to pass up – ya he’s quirky like that!
Then the serious side of Luca… who knew??
Who are we kidding? We’re not serious!!! (I’m still trying to perfect that Dave Hill affect!)
